Living the Gift of Today

Dear Lord,

Help me live this day as if it were new—
bright with hope, passion, and energy.

Let me laugh and play with childlike joy,
living without fear,
and loving without hesitation.

Then, Lord, help me live this day as if it were my last.
To cherish loved ones, to forgive freely, and to have faith.

And Lord, help me live every day this way—
as if it were both my first and my last

For every day you give is precious.
